Suruga Take-Sensuji Zaiku Plate "Asa-no-Habon"

"Asanoha-bon" is a tray that showcases the delicate beauty of bamboo weaving. Its center features "asanoha" (hemp leaf) weaving, an elegant lattice pattern. The soft, natural bamboo tone paired with black accents creates a refined, cooling geometric pattern.

The outer rim is finished with fine vertical weaving and a rich, dark brown border that gives the whole piece a clean, polished look. Each bamboo strip is carefully woven by hand, resulting in a design that is both delicate and durable.

Perfect for serving fruit, sweets, or as a decorative accent piece on your table, its refined Japanese aesthetic adds an elegant touch whether you're entertaining guests or enjoying an everyday meal. A beautifully handcrafted piece you'll want to keep close at hand.

Size: Diameter 27cm × Height 3cm

This tray features the "asanoha" (hemp leaf) pattern. Hemp grows straight and tall, quickly and sturdily — for this reason, the pattern has long been considered an auspicious, celebratory motif.

Artisan's comment:
This tray has a decorative base, finished by inserting bamboo strips so that they curve gently outward.
